Renovation of 20 bathrooms in the Abbey of Chimay

The bathrooms in the abbey needed replacing, old pipes and outdated sanitary appliances. The new construction, both the walls and the floor, were made of wood. This was to be finished with classic waterproofing - decoupling mats and then tiling. No contractor was prepared to give a guarantee for this. The wedi building system was examined and a price study was made which was free of charge. By using wedi building boards on the walls and floor, we had separation, guaranteed watertightness and better insulation in one step. Wedi also offered the TOP range as a finish, made from 100% recycled material. This was also accepted by the client.
