WECUBE - welcome home, office!

Imagine a pleasant office - in your garden. No commuting. No stressful traffic jams. No major renovation work on your home.
Hogt architects came up with wecube, a garden office designed as an object, not a building. The garden office (12 m²) is installed without a concrete slab and is movable. Floor, wall and roof have an airtight, insulated building envelope.

At the moment, it is completely reusable in 3D.
The construction of a CUBE consists largely of FSC wood products: wood frame construction, wood wool insulation, vapour permeable wood fibre board, interior wood board, wooden façade cladding, etc. These products are purchased in Europe wherever possible.
The exterior joinery is provided with aluminium profiles that can be disassembled and reused.
After removal of the CUBE, the screw piles can be removed separately.

The office can be bought, leased or rented. Because the construction method allows reuse - both of the object itself and of the environment in which it stands or was standing.
Within the Green Deal Circular Building, wecube is investigating which construction method is the most suitable for standardising the concept.

The assembling and disassembling of a CUBE in 2D parts is under investigation.
